EXCELLENTVerified Highly Recommend We went on a private moose tour in early August. Chris was on time and friendly. We saw a set of 5 moose and one seperate moose for a total of 6 moose in 2.5 hours. They don't like heat so fall is better. Recommend going in late September.Posted on TripadvisorVerified Photographing Maine moose and loons. Had a great experience looking for and finding loons with chicks and moose to photograph with Chris. It was not a good year for nesting loons in the Greenville area. In large part, because of his knowledge of the area and experience, Chris had a hunch there may have been an adult with chicks in the west cove area of Moosehead Lake. His instincts were correct, and we got great shots of the Mom and two chicks! Our day two intent was to photograph moose. We did see several during the first part of our morning outing, but too far off for any good shots. Chris was focused on finding a moose we could photograph, and, again, with his knowledge of the area and tons of experience, he was able to put us in front of a young bull moose still feeding! Again, fantastic, we got our shots! One last comment about Chris. He cares deeply about what he's doing and about the wildlife he works with. He seems to be able to maintain the right balance between having his customers have a good or great experience and taking care that the wildlife he's searching for are respected and not intruded upon. Even with windy tough weather we still saw 7 moose (5 bulls, 2 cows) and also 3 bear. Theres a massive difference between the commercial company tours that are just doing it for a quick buck, verse having someone who loves what they do take you out. We went to a secluded hidden spot and found a cow swimming in the pond. Great company, great experience, great memories.
